 CAUSES OF OBESITY

Obesity is considered a long-term complex disease. Many factors are involved in determining why some people are heavier than others and how much risk they have for developing other medical problems. But, normally obese people do not know anything about the reason and risk of obesity. They do not know why they become obese. They are commonly asking “Dr. I fail to understand why I am putting on weight, I hardly eat and do exercise regularly, perhaps, with me it is hereditary.’ How easy to blame parents! Argument of another group is more wonder. They think that “actually it is not fat, it is all fluids collected and it does not come down...”

If medical problems are excluded, the only cause of obesity is Positive energy balance. In detail, For, day to day activities and exercises we need energy (kcal ). We use to get this energy from food, we eat. If the energy we get from food is more than we spend, that energy will convert to fat, and people will get more and more obese.
